Welcome, professional adjunct

We are
professional adjuncts who teach for a
living. We don't have other employment;
teaching is our passion and our primary
livelihood.
We are
the tinkers, the itinerant stonecutters
of our profession, and we take great
pride in our professionalism and
dedication to
our
field.
Some
refer to us as
'FREEWAY FLYERS"
We have
become
a powerful force
in higher education, but we rarely
receive the respect or consideration we
truly deserve.
This site
was created to provide adjuncts the
opportunity to join together to discuss
the issues that affect each and every
one
of us
today, and to work together to solve our
own unique problems.
There are
several organizations out there that
deal with adjunct faculty issues, such
as:
CACOL
CPFA
AAUP
While
these organizations certainly do
remarkable things for contingent
faculty, as professional adjuncts we
believe that our
problems
and issues are quite unique and that we
need our own voice and our own unique
forum.
That's the objective of this endeavor;
